i'm an associate working in audit. I am part of the audit team and my main responsibilities are working on different areas of the financial statement and testing these areas. I work with various clients, and communication is a key part of the role in gathering supporting documentation and analysing it.
I've learnt new it skills, especially things on microsoft excel. for example, i've become a lot more familiar with pivot tables and with v look ups compared to previously. I have learned how to document online and i have developed my team working and networking skills. i've developed my problem solving and time management skills as well.
I enjoy the programme very much. there is alot of work involved however the cohort i am with is very good. There was an extensive induction experience which although due to the current climate and pandemic was held virtually it was a great experience in getting to know others and make friendships.
Very well organised, it is spread over a number of years with the exams coming at various points throughout. Training is held as well throughout the programme which enhances what we are doing on the day to day jobs. There are a lot of exams to cover however alot of support is provided.
they offer great training for exams through the training provider kaplan. The tutors are very experienced and great at explaining complicated accounting concepts. The course is of an adequate length with a great mix of in class teaching (done virtually at the moment) alongside self managed learning which helps us learn at our own pace.

definitely. for our exams we study accounting and audit concepts alongside others such as tax exams and management accounting. These are all concepts that we use on a day to day basis in our jobs. It introduces us to technical topics and areas of the financial statements which we need to understand well in order to work on them
there are many extracurricular activities that are on offer. Things like sports teams have had to be put on hold due to the pandemic however i have joined a fantasy football team which others are also doing, being done as a way to get to know others on a more firendly basis in the office.
Yes
great place to work, training is done very well with a lot of support on offer. the size of the company means there are alot of future opportunities and the projects that you can work on are very varied with clients from all sorts of different industries. work life balance is good
prepare by getting to know the company's values and how they align with you. few steps to applying, research role and office, then prepare for online assessments including a video interview before an assessment day which is usually done in a group in an office with various tasks to carry out.
