Performing basic accounting assistant tasks and taking responsibility for thoroughness and accuracy of the work. I review invoices and bank statements, enter the data into spreadsheets, analyse and reconcile it and post it into accounting software.
Yes, I'm always learning more and developing my accounting knowledge. I'm putting into practice what my course is teaching me and what I am learning is actually extremely realistic. As I am learning, I see the same content appear in my real work.
I really enjoy it, I understand it, I'm interested in it and I want to learn more. The learning material is broken down and very understandable, the staff are very approachable for help. It's a great experience.
The delivery of the material is very organised. There is a lot of helpful staff at AAT and Kaplan, almost too many staff. I sometimes don't know who I NEED to meet/talk with, and who I can choose to talk to.
My employer is extremely supportive in my learning, but not overbearing. All the staff at my workplace are experienced and are willing to help with everything. They are also patient; their focus is to make sure I learn. Very caring team.
The unit tutors are extremely helpful and patient, so are the student services. They stay after the Live Online session to answer all questions, they answer any questions by email. Their priority is me learning and passing my exam
Everything I've learned on the course so far is a reflection of my real work. It's not useless information, it's actual information, habits and practice I use every day. The course has made me more prepared for my job.
Not at the moment as we are in the middle of leaving Lockdown, but from what I've heard there have been in the past.
Yes
The team is very caring about my progress. Also they're just good people, nice to be round. We can have a joke in a moment of down time, but we work the majority of it. Understanding, intelligent people.
Show your personality, be yourself, come willing and with a passion for the role you're applying for. Don't put on a character of someone you're not, there's no judgement for being you.
