My role within the real estate finance coverage team was to build and maintain relationships with our customers and support them with their funding requirements. I became a contact point for our customers regarding their day-to-day and operational queries
I was able to build a strong customer focussed attitude and develop my ability to engage with various types of customers, adapting the way I communicate to suit their needs.
I enjoyed the programme and felt that it gave me a good understanding of the principles relevant to the financial services industry, allowing me to apply these to my role.
The programme was well organised and it was made clear who was available to contact for support if necessary.
I received a good level of support from my employer, both for time to allow me to complete my qualification and for assistance if I was struggling with a piece of work
My skills coach from BPP was very supportive and made himself available whenever I needed assistance or had any questions. I was able to approach him for help numerous times and he always responded quickly.
My qualification gave me a base understanding of the fundamentals of my role and allowed me to apply these in my work
There are various extra-curricular activities available which allow for networking and knowledge/skills development. These are both internal and external, as we are able to utilise relationships with professional firms that sometimes provide training to the team.

So far during my time at NatWest I have found it a great place to work. All employees are treated fairly, given equal opportunities and there is a huge variety of work to get involved with that ensures the role remains interesting
Always make sure to ask lots of questions of your colleagues/peers, particularly if joining externally, as this will enhance your learning and open up more opportunities.
