  • Working with the dentist Provide chair side support Working on reception and handling calls Cleaning and sterilising dirty instruments, packing clean instruments Preparing and shutting down the surgery at the beginning and end of the day Working proactively Setting up for different treatments Working with other colleagues Clean nursing and taking patients in and out of surgery

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I am now more confident with my patient skills and my communication skills, wether face to face or via other forms of contact have greatly improved. I now also with clinic readers experience able to work more proactively and understand the importance of sportsmanship within the dental team and with colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy the programme due to it being flexible and being able to gain hands on experience whilst also being given allocated time and support to study. It is great to have a balance of both sides and allows me to understand my job role more, in turn giving me more experience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is quite organised where lessons and targets that need to be be set are set within comfortable time limits but also set quite in advance which gives me a thorough understanding of what I need to achieve to stay on target and reach my goal. This is always updated by my assessor.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot of support is received from my employer and great assistance and understanding is provided from the rest of the team to the best of their possible abilities. I am given time weekly allocated specifielt to allow me to focus on getting coursework and any other type of work fone

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider also provides a lot of support with all my work and especially of certain areas which I may not understand as well. My training provider is also readily available for me to contact at all times and responds to any enquires that I may have which has been great.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification is nationally recognised and helps me perform better in my role as I receive the support and training to adhere to this. All areas of my job role or other responsibilities I may have are covered in my qualification. This allows me to understand my job role and understand what is expected .

  • No there are not

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It has been absolutely great and supportive, in all aspects of the job role and qualification which has boosted my confidence as I now understand how and what elevation my job role needs to be performed to. Also the team theme leave have all been great and of great assistance


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to 100and10?
  • I would definitely advise to keep on top of work from the beginning and to keep learning a small set of skills spwoeky and build these up. It is understandable performance will become better when experience increases. I would also advise to try and definitely become part of the team and always help other team members and be of assistance.
