Answering customer queries via the telephone around the products that Sage offer and completing apprenticeship work.
I have developed my interpersonal skills, writing skills and general written and verbal communication through being on the phone as well as emails, teams and other forms of written work I have had to do
I enjoyed the college side of the programme and the engagement with the other apprentices however the job itself was challenging and not what I expected
It was well organised, we knew when we had college sessions, where we needed to be and when. Deadlines were always made clear to us
Towards the beginning of the program we received a lot more support through the induction and training for the products. However when we started working from home this got difficult and less supportive as it was all through Teams
We received a lot of support, they were there on teams when we had college days from home and always reply to emails if we need support.
I think the qualification has helped in terms of the business, types of businesses and how they operate but a lot of my job has come from doing so actually being online on the phones which obviously isnt something that comes from the training provider
Yes we have sage foundation, careers events, virtual events, we have our lgbtq+ network and loads of other communities to get involved in
Yes
Its a good company to work for, I wouldnt recommend by specific role as it has been a lot of pressure although its a good place to get your foot in the door and the company itself is brilliant to work for outside of customer service
The application process wasnt quick, liasing with the recruitment company took months to actually get from interview to finding out if I had it. The assessment days are fun and engaging and the induction once in the business is fun and useful. Theres loads of opportunities to progress but I would have liked to have been told about the heavy focus on sales in CS
