As an account manger my role is to establish a relationship with businesses and best support them with their IT requirements. mostly working with IT mangers to build a relationship and show true value as to why Softcat for their IT partner. I deal with requirements involving Hardware, software, support and services.
I have developed a large majority of skills including communication, teamwork, problem solving, leadership, organisation, perseverance and motivation. another main skill that i have developed is my confidence, this is due to the encourage management style. New skills i have learnt is probably the ability to work under pressure when there is a deadline for something.
i love my apprenticeship program more and more every day. All the other apprentices are very friendly and we have a good social side to the job. The balance of work and learning is perfect in my opinion and the lessons we have with Remit are always enjoyable and engaging.
I think that my apprenticeship program at Softcat is extremely well organized and structured. We have clear goals and are set a roadmap for the entire length of the course. In terms of getting started in the job the team did extremely well at organising how we would start from home working.
i recieve a huge amount of support from everyone in the Softcat community.
A lot of support is provided even when we're not scheduled in with them.
I feel as if it does help a lot in terms of a formal matter. for example training on how to speak to customers etc
