My role as an early years apprentice is to support the children’s well being and development as best as I can. Assisting other staff, and leading activities independently.
During my apprenticeship I have learnt various different skills to use in childcare regarding different activities to do to support a child in different areas of development. I have also learnt how to assess and review children’s development against the EYFS framework
I enjoy my course as it enables me to learn and work at the same time and this is very beneficial for me
My apprenticeship is very well organised, all of my work is organised via smart assessor and I have regular zoom calls with my assessor
I support regular support from my management team, when in office time I can given the opportunity to complete any work that I may need to. I can regularly complete observations on children or if I need to be observed by other members of staff they are always happy to help
I receive endless support whenever I may need it from my training provider in particular my assessor, I can text or email her and will receive a response as soon as possible and can always call her if I have a problem
Having a qualification will enable me to be an early years practitioner which will enable me to develop in my role. And perhaps take on new roles in the setting
