Working on projects, repairs, training and other jobs with the Senior Automation engineer, working on job reports and working on college work.
Yes, I have learnt a lot of new skills as to be an automation engineer you need to learn the technician side and the automation side. I have also been given the freedom to develop existing skills or learn skills that I want to work on.
It is quite stressful due to COVID and college deadline being tight with the overload of work on top. The organisation of the program isn't great but the support is there.
It's organised but the structure is not suitable for automation engineering. It is more suited for automation technician.
My employer has been extremely supportive.
Not as much as we would like and more support with college overload of work would be useful. This is only because of COVID.
It gives us an understanding what an Automation Engineer does but the requirements is more aimed towards a Automation Technician that an Automation Engineer. The work place has been very supportive with my learning and have helped me understand the role a lot more.
In the first year we were invited to do events but because of COVID we haven't been invited to get involved with any extra-curricular activities.
Yes
They are open minded and do care for their employees. I have been able to learn what I feel like I need for my career as well as being put on projects and leading projects in the near future.
Be enthusiastic and show that you're willing to learn!
