I take customers orders, deliver their orders to their tables. Greet customers and deliver an excellent service to them! I also polish cutlery and clean and tidy tables.
Yes, I’ve developed my customer service skills. And I have learnt new skills through working and my apprenticeship, such as all the things behind running a pub, and how to deal with different customers and legislations.
I really enjoy my programme, because it is really introduced finding out all the work that goes into a pub, and learning new things about the hospitality industry.
My programme is well organised, we plan a call every month, I get told what I need to complete by that call. And if I need help all I have to do is email them and they will either call me or try to help me through email!
A lot, if I need help I will ask them and they will support me. They will always ask me about how my apprenticeship is going and if I need any help with it.
A lot, they are always helping me. When I’m not sure on soemthing they will help me understand more. And they always make sure I’m on target
Very well, it helps me learn new skills in my job roll, and hope to deal with situations better, and helps me be aware of what situations I could be in.

I’ve worked in 2 other pubs before, and it wasn’t managed very well. The staff was rude to one another and it was just not a nice environment to work in. However Marstons is everyone is friendly and we all help and work together.
Be yourself, don’t worry it isn’t as scary as you think
