Interacting with clients, dealing with any issues, various bookkeeping tasks, monthly and weekly payrolls, preparing and submitting vat returns, accounts production. Work with colleagues to assist with any client issues, work on our own company bookkeeping and produce reports for management. Also, various training from colleagues/manager, studying for exams.
Yes i have developed many skills during the course of my apprenticeship. Not only have i learnt practical skills through actually being in a workplace and undertaking many tasks, i have also developed knowledge through various training and completing exams and courses. I am now much more organised as well through the help of my colleagues.
I enjoy the work that i do, and i get a very good level of responsibility as i interact with clients on a daily basis. I work in a small team and really feel that i have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the company. I enjoy working on my apprenticeship.
It is very well organised. My course is very precisely laid out and there is lots of support available, to help me with meeting the requirements for the programme. There are planned meetings with my talent coach to check progress on my exams and also the other various work required.
I receive good support from my employer as i have a manager who oversees my training programme, but i also have colleagues who have been in my position. They are able to assist me with anything - including day to day tasks with work responsibilities and also with anything required for the programme.
I have a talent coach who checks up on me and we discuss progress and future plans after exams that I have taken. He is very accessible and seems like he is interested in my progress and success. He is happy to assist with any issues and happy to research if the answer is not immediately known
My qualification gives me the background knowledge and relevant information on the day to day tasks that i carry out. Some areas that i have expanded my knowledge on through the programme have greatly increased my ability to carry out tasks for my company, which makes me a much better employee.
Unfortunately due to covid there have been much less extra-curricular activites to get involved with, but before the lockdowns there were social events to go to - including interactions with clients at evening events and sporting events. There have been multiple times where we have been invited to new office parties and hosted sporting events with clients and other company staff.
Yes
The training provided has been great and really progressed me as an employee and individual. I feel like i have a lot of responsibility for someone early on in my career and can make a real positive impact on the company as a whole. The management is very knowleagble and open to input from anyone.
In the interview process show that you are willing to work hard, learn and be part of the team. Gain some basic excel skills and be friendly, you will stand a good chance at joining the team. Any extra interests/hobbies, definitely bring them up into the conversation - why not?
