My role consists of producing different reports about topics like diversity, current numbers, finances, start/end dates, manager workload and off the job tracking. It also consists of managing data through Government DAS systems to ensure we draw the correct funding for each apprentice either on-contract or outsourced.
I have developed my knowledge of software's like Power BI, Microsoft 365 applications and many more. Also, have learnt a lot about how apprentices should be ran and how they work with conjunction with the Government and ESDFA guidelines
I do enjoy the programme I am currently studying and has developed my knowledge on a fast growing industry. At the beginning it was difficult as the on-boarding process had taken 5 months but now is absolutely fine.
Programme structure is alright but does lack certain aspects and isn't the easiest to get hold of help or guidance from the college. However, if I raise this issue often does get sorted fast but can be frustrating.
My employer offers a lot of supporting and understands the stress of studying and learning. Often gives me extended periods to complete tasks and if I was to ask would put me contact with anyone within the organisation to help me through any misunderstanding of a topic
The training provider is very good at times and offers great support. However, some instances where I have been told I will be given support and have to wait for extended periods of time. But when this help is given is normally high quality
I think the qualification in which I have completed has helped me develop my skills within my role and makes me perform better. However, there is aspects which we don't do in the current role so applying them areas can be difficult.
There isn't many extra-curricular activities I do attend with work however is the odd meal out and what not. This would be something however I do with their would be more of so I could expand my network of people within the organisation
Yes
Siemens is massive company with the highest of standard both in house but also externally. To work for this organisation is an honour. The opportunities of growth of current skills and knowledge is hugely exciting for myself!
I would say embrace the culture of this organisation and get to know as many people as possible. The staff are friendly and you never know when a situation can come along to collaborate with them
