I am a Junior test engineer, carrying out various tests on drives made on site. Ranging from climate tests to shock and vibration.
I have learnt how to interpret engineering diagrams and schematics, better how to use LEAN processes and be more efficient; work in a team professionally and carry out theoretical engineering knowledge learnt in school into the workplace
I enjoy working on new projects, carrying out new tests and finding problems practically. I do slightly find paperwork involving the engineering jobs tedious at times.
My Programme is well structured, support is evident and easy to get both in college and in the workplace. Progress over time can be seen and is monitored constantly.
I receive great support from my employer; daily catch ups take place to discuss problems that may have occurred the previous day and how to tackle them. 1:1 sessions take place monthly, to discuss progress and any concerns or worries within and outside the workplace. Overall, great support.
I receive absolutely great support, always happy to help and available whenever possible. Any concerns is quelled quickly and layout of the course is clear and concise.
My training provider always gives me insight information into what im learning in order to best fit it into my workplace and so that I can apply it to assignments where possible.
There are many extra curricular to get involved in at the workplace. At the moment, im involved with Monday Night Football with my colleagues at a local leisure centre, there are other sports such as volleyball and badminton. Networking events also happen such as all employee events.
