Running steady shifts by myself, taking in deliveries, stock rotation, HACCP and COSHH records.
I have learnt how to organise myself ready for a simple service so that everything runs as smooth as possible. I have also learnt time management skills and how to cope better under pressure.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme at the moment. Due to COVID 19, I havent been able to go to college yet but I have still been able to do the college work and learn a lot of the skills I need for the course and for the kitchen.
Course seems very well structured even though I'm currently unable to attend college. There are frequent check ins from my assessor over the phone and in person. I have been given a folder which clearly shows which part I'm supposed to do and what is next. I know what is expected of me and when.
My employers are 100% supportive, they will do everything in their power to help me with my course.
Frequent check ins over the phone and monthly check ins in person to go through what I have been doing and what I should do next. Always an email or phone call away if i need any help too!
I havent actually gained my qualification yet however, I am constantly pushed to work harder to learn what I need to so that I can perform well individually and with my team.
Not that I am aware of, especially with current COVID regulations.
