I work 4 days a week then have one day as my study day. I am currently in my first rotation in the name screening department. Daily, I work through alerts that are generated by our systems and I have to investigate and find evidence to show my customer/ entity does not match the listed individual/Entity. The cases are either eliminated or referred based on the evidence I find.
Yes, I have developed a lot of my IT skills, having used a lot of new systems I have picked up a lot in such a small space of time. I have also improved on my time management as I am having to juggle work with my studies.
I am loving it so far. I have only been on my apprenticeship for a few months but so far I am really enjoying it!
Pretty good! I get one day a week off to complete my studies. Our education provider has a plan for the whole duration of our apprenticeship so we know when we have webinars/ Exams and any work due.
A lot! I have a line manager as well as an apprentice manager who are both extremely supportive. Every employee I have come across to people training me in my role and those helping us to settle us in have been amazing!
We get assigned a coach from our provider who we meet with on a monthly basis. My coach is very helpful and happily arranged other calls/ emails if I need further support.
The qualification I will complete covers all aspects of financial crime so helps to develop my understanding. The trainer themselves helps to improve on our skills in the workplace, both are useful in the long run
Yes, there’s constant events that take place however due to the nature of this year it’s been difficult for anything to take place other than via zoom but we are told in usual circumstances there is a lot more offered.
Yes
They are really supportive, all employees are so nice to work with. There’s so many internal systems that are useful to employees, a lot of ways to track progress. Overall just a very happy workplace.
Be yourself! Go in with confidence and a smile, everyone is lovely. Make sure to do some research so you’ve got everything covered :)
