My role involves mostly product analysis as I spend most of the time reviewing customer feedbacks and commercial bank products. I get assigned projects which are always different therefore the job it's different every day. Sometimes I get assigned admin tasks such as fill forms, create and file documents.
I have learnt new skills only about the day-to-day job and what my department does. In term of the BPP programme, I haven't acquired new skills because I had many other jobs in the past and I already knew all the things about communication, time management, safety etc... however it was good to refresh those info
I didn't enjoy the BPP programme too much, I've found the workbooks very boring and a waste of time. Most of the questions were repetitive and had nothing to teach. However I did enjoy the programme within my department where I learnt a lot and I was doing concrete tasks
The programme is well organised and easy to follow, you knew that each month you had to do your workbook and had a call with the tutor. It was a bit confusing when after the last workbook, the tutor advised that VLE didn't accept some of the grading that she did and I had to make changes to workbooks that I did months before
I receive a great deal of support. My manager and I agreed to have one day a week where I only focus on the BPP programme and the workbooks so I have enough time for everything. When I had to do my business presentation my whole team shared contacts I could reach to in order to get the info that I needed
The tutor was always very nice and available to answer any question I had. We were having regular catch ups to check if I was feeling comfortable with all the tasks in the workbooks and we worked together to find the best solution to complete certain workbooks that required me being in the office while I was instead working from home due to covid
To be honest I don't think the BPP qualification will help me much because I already knew the majority of information. It would definitely be useful for a young person who just finished high school and never had a job but for me, having received many trainings in the past and worked in several supervisor roles, it's not going to be any useful
Yes there are Employees Networks which people can join and participate to their activities or groups within the departments, For example I am part of a group about diversity and inclusion and a group in charge of organising social events and activities. I know there are also groups focused on sport and religion
Yes
It's a good employee that take care of people. They really focus on our wellbeing and mental health and put that before anything else. We also have a lot of flexibility to have a good work/private life balance, as long as we complete our tasks it doesn't matter if we take some hours off or log in early/late
I would say to definitely go for it but think twice about the apprenticeship programme if they already have several working experiences. Check and ask information about which programme they want to do as it could be a bit misleading (I chose business admin and did almost nothing concerning this title) and ask a lot of questions at the interviews
