I am a Project Manager and I lead Change initiatives in the Wealth division to make effective changes to systems and structures with an end goal of bettering the customer and colleague experience. My day to day tasks include engaging with stakeholders andcommunicating key messgaes to a variety of people including end users, project team members or people with an influence on the project.
Along with my Diploma in Project Management I habe learned a lot of life skills. I have gained confidence in myself and my ability to lead others to a shared goal. I have learned the core values of Change Management and can apply these successfully to any project I now lead.
I have loved being a part of the apprenticeship programme. I feel like the level of support offered from my employer is second to none and the opportunities I have been given as a result have expended my network and opened my eyes to the world in which I want to work in for a long time! The team I work with have developed me as a person and a Project Manager and I feel like I truly belong. The programme has exceeded any expectation that I had and has prepared me for what I hope to be a long career with LBG.
Very. I feel like a valued member of the team I work with as well as a valued ambassador of the apprentceship programme. I am given the opportunity to go into schools and promote the apprenticeship programme and LBG and this has given me a unique characteristic that also contributed to winning me a Retail Divisional Award for Change Trainee of the Year.
From a Lloyds perspective it was very well structured and this has been built on for the next cohort. Sometimes support from the external providers lacked what it should in terms of clarity and support but thankfully having built a very supportive network I feel this has ended up working out right in the end.
Now I have finished, none. However throughout the apprenticeship this was once monthly. It was enough towards the end but at the beginning could have been more frequent due to the amount of questions we had.
I get all the support I need. Throughout my apprenticeship I have been allowed study time and afternoons to complete evidence. I have been met with a very positive attitude towards the apprenticeship programme and lots of people want to know what it is about.
We have been paid very generously throughout the apprenticeship (matching someone at the same grade as ourselves) and this has since improved after secured a promotion.
I can get involved in as much or little as I can. As mentioned I can go to external events to promote the apprenticeships as well as get involved with volunteering in local communities.
Yes
They are very supportive of everything and make you feel like a valued member of a team.
You can be given so many oportunities. Take them all. Apply and be sensible but show your passion and ambition in everything you do!
