I started as a Client services Apprentice, where I had to take phone calls daily ensuring to answer the customers queries as efficiently as I could and making sure that they were confident in using our services. I then moved onto Global Operations which I am currently training in at the moment and developing my skills in that sector of the company.
I have learnt a variety of new skills whilst onboarding this company, the most important one is how to deal with difficult customers. On my first day taking calls by myself I had two difficult customers on the phone which made me incredibly nervous, however with the help of my team they guided me through it and taught me new skills on what to do when i get another call like that.
In the Client Services side of things my team were so friendly and welcoming, as i had to deal with difficult circumstances within the role which lead to me switching positions, my team leader was so understanding and helped me throughout that time so much. All of the people that I have had meetings with have been so friendly and knowledgeable.
The programme I am currently on is very well organised, all of my team have been there for me when I needed any help. The task delegation has been very clear and understandable, as well as the team hierarchy. The induction was very useful and the trainers themselves were all so friendly and if we were stuck on anything they would do their best to help at all costs.
Overall my experience with my employer has been excellent! I have had to move from client services to global operations and everyone throughout that process has been so understanding and supportive. My new team have been so welcoming towards me and so have the other apprentices which has made me feel so much more confident in starting my new role.
I provide excellent support from the training provider when i am working towards my qualifications. I truly believe that they are providing full support and i feel confident in what i am doing at all times. They are always there when i need any further support that would benefit me to get my qualifications.
I believe that my qualification helps me to perform better within my role as it gives me a sense of confidence. This is because i understand the basics of my role from the knowledge that my qualification has given me. It also allows me to expand my overall knowledge within the company.
Yes, there are a wide variety of extra curricular activities to get involved with at work. The company also have a range of groups to support one another and for new and old employees of Fidelity, so that there is an opportunity for everyone to make some new friends whilst at work.
Yes
The company have such a wide range of support for their employees and would do anything to make sure that they are comfortable at all times. The team leaders also are always in contact with you to make sure that you are okay within the role and if you need any other support.
My advice for anyone applying for a role within Fidelity International is to be yourself. Fidelity love individuality and curiosity, so make sure to showcase your talents within the interview process and make sure to ask a wide range of questions. Another piece of advice i would give is to reach out to people once you have got the role as that really helped me.
