I work closely with customer returns each week i go through a batch of customer returns with my boss to get a better understanding of what problems we are having with our products that are being sent back to us i can then plan jobs i have to do for the next week based off of this for example if we get 10 of the same product back with the exact same problem i will probably spend the next week looking into this product doing some tests on it and understand why it is failing in the field.
I have learned so many different skills working here some to do with engineering and some with day to day life for example i now manage my time a lot better and organised my self better as i have been taught how to do so which makes me more efficient in my job role and will help me in years to come.
I really enjoy my programme i feel like it is really good for me as most of the time it doesn't feel like a job at all! I really enjoy my day to day work in the facotry i am always learning new things anf i'm never doing the same thing which makes it more enjoyable and i like going to college which gives me a better understanding of engineering as a whole and expands my skillset.
My program is really well structured i feel like i couldn't have been improved upon. From the day i joined i was introduced to everyone and made to feel really welcome to everyone so if i'm ever in need of help i feel like i could have asked anyone from my very first day. Now i have been here a while i feel like I've been taught so much and now i've been given my own responsibilities but the help is there if i need it.
My boss is so supportive anything i need he will cater for he is always ready to help or point me in the right direction and from the day i joined he was made me feel as though i can ask him any question anytime and receive help off of him
Due to covid i have only been to college a handful of times and i've just changed classes to be in my correct class so it's still fresh i'm sure any question i do have in the future i can email my college teacher and he will be able to help but i don't/have had any questions yet of my learning in college.
In college i learn a whole variety of engineering and most of it compares so differently to what i do in work however some things have popped up that i have learnt in college about engineering and it's been really good to know it straight away. It also expands my skillset as i know a lot more about engineering that just what i do in my job. I also learn about other things in college such as health and safety
I'm very busy outside of work hours as i play football a lot and do my own things however i know my work put on a lot of extra-curricular activities for the staff such as pilates after work they also do charity bake sales at break times which everyone goes to
Yes
I already have spoken to my friends about my workplace and i can truthfully say i do not have a bad word to say about my work. I enjoy the actual work i do but the help and support i receive and can ask for off of my colleges is amazing and makes working a lot more relaxing and easy knowing if i am ever stuck on anything i can ask for help.
Take an interest in the actual role because then you start to enjoy the role don't treat it like a job and then it won't feel like one because it starts to make you feel ood when you do something correct or when you learn something new you feel accomplished
