My role involves the quality assurance of our AEB and apprenticeship provision in the health and social care sector of my organisation. This involves the targeted and planned sample of portfolios and liaising with awarding bodies. It involves keeping myself up to date with the latest thinking, theories and legislations in relation to the Care industry and the apprenticeship industry. I am also responsible for the learning and development of staff
I have definitely learnt new skills. I now have an understanding at a strategic level of learning and development. I now know how to undertake a skills gap analysis and how to plan learning and development solutions to meet the needs of the organisation, in line with the organisational objectives and meeting the learning needs of individuals
I love the programme, especially the research elements and independent learning. I feel it has woke up my brain and made me analyse and question what I'm doing, not only in the workplace but also personally. My confidence is growing at work, I feel I can contribute more and have more value to my employer.
The programme is very well structured. I was provided with a timetable at the start so I could manage my work diary by inputting the various workshop dates, one to one sessions and assignment submission dates into my calendar. it has enabled me to plan ahead and plan in study time.
My employer is very supportive, I am meeting the off the job requirements because I am able to discuss my needs with my line manager, she had provided me with work based learning opportunities that have helped me develop my knowledge, skills and behaviours. I have also been provided with off the job time to complete assignments
The support from my training provider has been exceptional. My training and development officer is always available should I have a question about anything to do with my course, she has also given me information, advice and guidance in relation to career progression once I have completed the apprenticeship. She is confident and knowledgeable and provides strong feedback that has helped me develop,

This is developing all the time since the recent management buy out. I can see the new management is really trying to foster a community culture within the workplace. We are a national company with many remote based workers across the country so getting people together is a challenge. Currently we are supporting our chosen charity (selected by ballot from the staff) by 'walking the world'
Yes
Because the delivery staff are professional and knowledgeable. The courses are well planned and are challenging. individualised support is excellent, as well as the pastoral support provided by staff over the last year has been exceptional. This company has integrity, there are no short cuts and you really feel you are developing and learning.
Be committed- I would say expectations are high so don't apply if you are not able to give enough commitment to your apprenticeship or other training course. This training provider is not for someone who just wants to 'tick a box' to gain a qualification, this training provider is for people who really want to learn and get on in life.
