Supporting Regional and General managers with the coaching, upskilling and development of store sales colleagues to ensure they are always putting the customer first. I am the link between the stores and the Learning and Development team, cascading information and engaging the teams around the business focus areas.
I have learnt many new skills, coaching models and techniques that will enable me to be more effective in my role as Sales Coach, such as Motivational Theories, 8 types of Coaching Interventions. I have also developed many existing skills that I used in my previous role as General Manger.
I really enjoy the sense of community and support that comes from working alongside my peers on this programme. I also find the content very interesting and relevant to my role as Sales Coach.
I enjoy the structure of the programme. It is a blend of Virtual Classrooms, E-learning and Reflective Writing.
My employer has been very supportive and ensures that I get the equivalent of 1 day each week to focus on my apprenticeship.
My Learning Support Practitioner schedules regular catch up meetings to review progress and to offer support. I can also request a meeting if extra support is required.
The Coaching Professional Level 5 apprenticeship was created for my role and I believe this will upskill me with valuable skills and techniques that will enable me to perform better in my role.
There are many extra-curricular activities available to colleagues at all levels. This includes sporting competitions, virtual quiz nights. I also attend 2 company conference events each year and these are great opportunities to network with colleagues from other areas of the business and our manufacturer partner colleagues.
