On a day to day basis my job is to support Childcare apprentices gaining knowledge and experience to become competent childcare practitioners. This is both Level 2 & Level 3 qualifications. I also support with Functional Skills, and going through to End Point Assessment where we discuss a learners portfolio of evidence and how they can showcase their best knowledge.
Since starting my qualification I have learnt more about different methods of teaching, and also how to support the company in training the teams to enhance our learners we're training - through the company analysis I've been able to create meetings to support my team in areas they felt that weren't excelling in.
Very much so, this course has enabled me to research more into different areas, and find out more about the company I work for. I'm now able to support my learners better due to me being more confident, and offering advice and guidance into wider areas of learning - which previous to the course I may not of known about.
Very well organised & structured. I have meetings pre-booked into my diary and am then able to pre-plan around these meetings. I was also given a detailed plan of how the programme shall be conducted when I was first signed up. So I knew straight away how things would work and whether I would need to re-arrange certain things.
My employer is very supportive, and on my monthly 121 I discuss my programme and how it is positively affecting my job, and allowing me to support my learners better on a day to day basis. My manager offers advice and guidance all the time and is available to talk to whenever I need it.
I speak with my assessor once a month, this can be either through email, phone or ZOOM, and we discuss where I'm at with my programme and whether I have specific targets that I need to work on ready for my next meeting. I receive communications from my assessor all the time, and if I've not done something - just a reminder to do so.
It helps very much so. Through the training I have attended on my qualification, I've been able to use this daily with my own learners. I'm able to identify how our company works and how staff training can also help the company move forward, and have created meetings to support my colleagues learning new skills, which they can then use with their own learners.
Prior to COVID-19 we had activities that took place face to face where we would get involved with local charities or network marketing events. Since COVID-19 all things have now been changed to virtual meetings or social activities. These are happening at least once a month now with the company and are things that most of the team actively get involved with.
Yes
I feel that Realise Training have supported me well through my qualification, and they've also offered advice & guidance, which I've been able to use. My assessor is very down to earth, and I'm able to have discussions with her to support my qualification and my own personal life.
This company are very helpful, and will support you and your individual needs well. If you're struggling at work, or need to discuss work related issues, they're able to direct you to the right people for your query. I've also found that they do what they say they will do and treat all learners as individuals.
