My daily job role is to aid traders and sales in their roles by being their go to if something is wrong with the system they're working on. Examples include error messages flagging up, trades not flowing to correct downstream systems, PnL being out of line etc.
Yes lots, from both university and work. It is nice learning about things at university to then apply them practically in my daily role.
The degree itself was interesting but felt the first few years we're very basic with quite a big jump into in-depth topics without much ease into it.
At the beginning not very well as we had to do 4 weekends a year which meant 2 whole weeks of work in a row. But after that first year, they quickly adjusted it for us to add it into block weeks instead.
In regards to university, not very much help is provided... But they respect my study day which is very useful and needed.
It has been fairly hard due to to being part time students and then the past year being virtual, but they still try to reply when possible.
In my role personally, about 60%
