Fibre Jointing and installation to connect the wifi network
Yes learnt new skills in fibre optics and telecommunications
i am yet to enjoy the programme and not done much to enjoy
I think there is a lack of solid structure especially on times for studying and how it is left to the vices of the individual trainee/apprentice
I have only just been getting support and I have found the whole structure and path to my apprenticeship difficult due to the lack of credible support which causes low moral and stressful days.
I am not sure I have had any at all over the time I have been working towards my qualification.
I have been on 3 different role since starting with the training at Openreach and it has been difficult to date to perfect any one of the skills due to the many different roles.
Due to the Virus I do not think this question can be answered fully. At present i know none of the above.
No
Too much unfairness and lack of diversity which I find very strange for such a large company with many years of business and workforce being so large. In regards to diversity; I have not seen any seniors that are women and not of ethnic backgrounds since being here, bar one individual.
Ask lots of questions, get fully kitted with tools and work wear, and prepare yourself for lonely days with little help from seniors due to them not knowing the job in the field.
