  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I answer customer calls relating to issues they're having with payroll. This means finding the route cause of their problem and working towards solving it in a quick and efficient manner that allows them to continue with their work without too big of a interruption

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • While within this role I have develop a large amount of skills including communication, team working, people handling skills as well as emotional intelligence. Developing all of these skills has allowed me to not only excel within my role but also in day to day life showing the role doesn't just develop you for the job but also for later life.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find the role I am doing at the moment is very enjoyable as it allows me to not only develop myself but also help others along the way. Helping people is one of the biggest benefits of the role and makes it more enjoyable as I'm able to something fun while also helping others.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organization is structured very well as I am given the most time I need to complete both my development within the role as well as within the apprenticeship itself. Within this job I am given plenty of time to get everything completed on time without ever stressing over the situation.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Within this role I receive a high level of support from my employer to make sure that if I am ever falling behind then I am able to be caught along with the others. I am also able to seek any additional support that I need and it is there at a moments notice.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Within my role I receive a good level of support from the provider as they help me with anything I am struggling with. If I am stuck with what I am doing I can get help from multiple people from the provider. As well as this I get feedback on each piece of work I submit.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification that I am getting helps me with my role as it involves looking into the policies and procedures of the company as well as doing detailed research on the company itself giving me a full understand of the role through both working and doing the course as well.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Within my role there are many different activities for me to get involved in within the company. One of the biggest activities to get involved in within Sage is our Sage Foundation, this means we can help the community through charity with sage itself. As well as this we hold Christmas parties where possible.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Sage to a friend as they are a great company for almost every area. Whether it's a footstep into the business world or if it's a final role it provides you with everything you need to excel into something more and to fully develop yourself.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • While applying to Sage it's very important to ensure that you are yourself rather than putting a false persona forward. Ensuring that you are being yourself means that Sage are more likely to accept you as they know who they're hiring. Being honest and asking questions is key during an application.
