In my role I support Colleagues within sage when they are having IT issues with hardware or software. I also provide colleagues with access to files and can create addition logins for different services that the colleague may use.
I have learnt a lot of new skills here and have devolved some of my current skills as well. I have also improved my confidence with talking to people on my team and within the business.
I really enjoyed working at sage as the people on my team are nice and caring and will support me if I am struggle with something. It is also a good working environment. However the provider QA caused a lot of complications on the program.
The programme within Sage is very structured and well organised. However yet again on QA side the program is all over the place and what they tell you contraindicates the last thing they told you. The provider QA has caused more issues that good.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, this can be through my manager, team leader or even colleagues on my team who are always willing to give me support. I can even get support from people higher then my manager if i ask.
The support from my training provider QA has been all over the place, i had 3 skill coaches across my apprenticeship and the last one said all the work i did for my previous skills coach was useless so needed to start over with less then 6 months.
I feel like what i've learnt in from my training provider doesn't really help with my role as a lot of the things covered are not things i do in my role and are more advanced for a different role.
Yes there is a lot of extra curricular activities to get involved at my work place. A lot of the things we can get involved with are for charity as well so it is done for a good course.
Yes
I would recommend sage as it is a great place to work and the people that work there really try to make you feel like you fit in. It is a very good work culture.
The tip i would say is to be yourself and to avoid an apprenticeship if it is through QA as it will ruin your entire experience working at Sage, other then that Sage is a great place to work at.
