My day consists of joining meeting with developers to view the progression of tickets raised against the Sitecore platform. Speaking with different types of internal stakeholders to see different types of issues which are happening within the platform or the Sage.com site. I also help with various different projects both small and medium, whilst speaking with my manager on a day to day basis.
So far in my role I have learned how to use sitecore to build different webpages, as well as how to raise tickets on jira, view guidance on confluence as well as many other tasks. I have been able to improve my time management skills by having a flexible diary and having the ability to balance and prioritise work.
I highly enjoy my program, I have a well balanced workload and get the opportunity to work with multiple different teams which allows me to further my experience. I have lots of support from my manager for tasks where I require further help. All of the tasks I get I find interesting and can find the fun in the task.
Due to a recent changeover with Apprenticeship courses, I have not started the course for my new apprenticeship. However my previous course was very well structured as we had planned day release sessions which focused around one specific topic and the work task would like to the topic from that day.
My manager is available to provide me with support on a daily basis as my main point of contact. I will also have tutors once my course begins for support relating to my coursework. I also have different internal teams such as the developers who can help with detailed tech issues, WCM who deal with any design related questions and more. Upon speaking to any of these teams the response is positive and the working relationship is very friendly.
Due to a recent move in apprenticeship courses, I have not yet started my course with my new provider, however from my previous course in Sage I would rate provider high as they were always available through email or telephone to contact when needed.
Due to a move in apprenticeship courses I have not yet started my course for my current apprenticeship, however my course I will be signed onto will be Project Management Level 4. I believe this will be important to my role as I am currently take part in both large and small projects with my manager however the project management course will teach me all of the skills needed in order to run my own smaller projects further into my apprenticeship.
Sage have the Sage Foundation which allows for all collegues to get involved in Charity days where we can raise money by helping out in local businesses or participating in different types of group activites to raise money. We also have company events such as our Christmas Party, which allows all colleagues to gather and connect.

After completing a Level 2 Customer Service to now move onto a Level 4 Project Management course personally shown me that Sage has opportunity for progression with your career and there is no limitation to stay within one department and there is always new opportunities to find something new.
Be relaxed upon going into interviews, have full confident in yourself and make it known how much you want the apprenticeship, tailor your interview towards the apprenticeship and show why your different to others applying. If successful in Sage take every opportunity you get as gaining more experience gives the chance to progress further in your career.
