I work in a project team for the Dixons Carephone Contact Center. I work on improvement initiatives to reduce demand and create a better customer experience. We use the Agile methodology working in two week sprint to deliver improvements fast.
Yes, this role is the first time I have worked within projects, although I have been doing it for 2 years now i learn new ways of working regularly. The qualification is helping me to develop my data analysis which is great for when i have to create business cases.
It is great, it is giving me the skills i need to be the best i can be in my role and for the company I work for
The programme is very well structured. For example we did all the theory first and now we are putting that theory to practice whilst working on a project
I feel i am very well supported by my employer, They allow me the time to attend all sessions required and I am allocated time to work on my project so I can complete the qualification to a great standard
Our trainer is great, he is there if there are any questions outside of lessons and is always willing to change the way we are learning to ensure we understand. I find that i learn best by doing and he has included this in the training for me
In my current role i struggle most with data analysis to build business cases and the improvement qualification is based on a lot of data theories which is really helping me to understand how i can use data to make improvements.
Yes normally there is lot of this to do at my work, we do parties, incentives, bbq , days out but because of covid this hasn't happened recently
Yes
I have worked for Dixons Carphone for 8 years. This is my third apprenticeship with them. I started as an sales apprentice on the phone at 19 years old, I then became a line manager where they put me through another apprenticeship to ensure i had all the skills required to be a good manager. I then progressed into projects where they are now supporting me with my level 4 improvement practitioner qualification. its safe to say i wouldnt be where I am today without Dixons Carphone and i am proud to work for them
Take every opportunity available to you because if you want to progress then you will
