Supporting customers with daily tasks they cannot do on their own such as personal care, financial tasks and supporting into the community. Completing audits such as infection control and medication. Supporting the staff team to develop new skills and to advise on any issue they may have. Up date customer care plans as and when required.
I haven't really learned or developed new skills but i have found some of the units to be very interesting and did gain some new knowledge around such things as mental health and autism. I found out that there is a huge range of mental health conditions that i would not have thought came under this condition, such as anorexia and also the huge scale of the autism spectrum.
If this question is around the course i can say that i did not enjoy it at all. It was very repetitive, having to do the units then having to do an assessment on the units which was just repeating what you had done on the units and i enjoyed the level 2 much more with a different provider. This provider could not even provide the correct word document to complete the assessment.
The pandemic may have had an impact on the course but i feel the provider has not made me want to sign up to anymore courses with them as i know they are a large company with many different arms and have tried to get into the training business which in my view has been a complete failure.
My employer has supported me as much as they could by allowing me work time to complete the diploma. I have also been allowed to work from home if i had to have any teams calls from my tutor to allow me the privacy to do this. I cannot fault my employers support at all.
I cannot fault my tutor who has gone above and beyond during the pandemic by making herself available outside of normal working hours to help me achieve the qualification and achieve a high grade. She has always been available via telephone and has held teams calls with several students to help with our units and EPA.
I don't feel it will help me perform any better as most of the information in the units i would be doing in my job role anyway but as part of my grade i have to have a level 3 qualification as part of my job specifications as specified in the job description.
No, we do not provide such activities. Such things are only available to our customers who have the opportunity to join a football teams and take part in training sessions as part of this and also attend courses and discos. My company does provide things like flu jab sessions and wellness programmes for anyone wishing to take part.
No
I would not recommend this company to anyone as i find that my experience has been a nightmare and this has nothing to do with the pandemic. I think that your company has been extremely amateurish and the online set ups have been very difficult to use and my assessment at the end of the units could not even be provided as a word document which is basic computer skills. I would also like to re-iterate that i do not blame my tutor for any of my reasons for not liking this course i put it all down to the set up of the course.
Do not go through this provider as i had a nightmare and try and source another provider as any other provider could not be any worse than Realise. I would also recommend to them a previous provider who i completed my level 2 diploma which was through Sunderland college and that was a very enjoyable course
