I work in Service Delivery in Group IT and we provide and oversee the day to day delivery of IT throughout the company, we deal with incidents and changes for IT. Day to Day I tend to sit with another member of my team whilst they show me different things that we do and teach me about them, by the time the day is done I am sat back at my desk doing the task set.
I have learnt a range of new IT skills and developed my IT and Business language
I absolutely love the programme the work is challenging yet enjoyable, my team are great friendly and helpful, and the company culture is good too, it is exactly how I imagined it, if not better!
I feel valued as I am always shown recognition for the things I do well, my team constantly involve me with projects and work and my line manager touches base with me a lot to recognise my good things and also plan a development strategy for myself
Very, at the start it was a bit slow, but i think that was to break me in gently, I feel I am given the right amount of freedom but also know my work colleagues are there if I need the support. The training is regular and is understandable. and I have enough time to encorporate the studying in to my daily work routine
I recieve the help I need when I need it, we get 12 weekly assessor visits and a weekly 2 hour tutor session but they are always contactable if I need extra support
I recieve a lot of support from my employer. My line manager is there and is my first port of call for any kind of issue and my team are always there if I am struggling with the work.
Very, I had to move 160 miles away from home at the age of 16 to do this apprenticeship but it was worth it, I moved from the countryside to a large city and I cannot tell you how relieved I am now I am only a walk away from the shop instead of 10 miles, the pay covers my rent and I still have a large amount of pocket money left at the end
Yes plenty. Since I started I have been to Leeds, Chester, Halifax, Peterborough, and Corby, I always get involved in volunteering activities to fundraise for our charity of the year
Yes
Because I haven't seen a better apprenticeship with as many opportunities as this one the company are great and I love my job
Be yourself, dress smart, prepare yourself
