1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Business analysis involves for lack of a better explanation working with stakeholders (often within the business outside of tech services) to understand and gauge their requirements. For my role it generally relates to requirements for technology/software aswell as lots of analysis. I also document and create a lot of processes.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, prior to moving to my higher Apprenticeship as a Business Analyst although I had IT knowledge I had no diploma/qualifications relating to IT. After completing my Apprenticeship I now have a Level 4 Diploma in Business Analysis provided by the BCS. I also now have a full time job/contract as a BA within DLG

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very much, it was a great opportunity and the work it's self was enjoyable to me. (I'm very logical and enjoy understanding and solving problems which is my Analysis is a good fit for me). 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel this is quite a broad question. If you mean in terms of my allocated learning/study time in DLG I always found I had an abundance of time to complete my required apprentice work. If you are talking about QA and how the courses were structured/laid out thought the year then those were also structured in a logical manner.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am a member of the social committee in the area I work in and as part of that I help organise social events.

9a. Would you recommend Direct Line to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

Because it's a great place to work. I started on front line motor insurance in 2016 and since then I have networked my way into a job that I enjoy in the technology side of the business.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Direct Line?

Don't be afraid of applying. You miss all opportunities you don't take :)
