Business analysis involves for lack of a better explanation working with stakeholders (often within the business outside of tech services) to understand and gauge their requirements. For my role it generally relates to requirements for technology/software aswell as lots of analysis. I also document and create a lot of processes.
Yes, prior to moving to my higher Apprenticeship as a Business Analyst although I had IT knowledge I had no diploma/qualifications relating to IT. After completing my Apprenticeship I now have a Level 4 Diploma in Business Analysis provided by the BCS. I also now have a full time job/contract as a BA within DLG
Very much, it was a great opportunity and the work it's self was enjoyable to me. (I'm very logical and enjoy understanding and solving problems which is my Analysis is a good fit for me). I feel this is quite a broad question. If you mean in terms of my allocated learning/study time in DLG I always found I had an abundance of time to complete my required apprentice work. If you are talking about QA and how the courses were structured/laid out thought the year then those were also structured in a logical manner.
I am a member of the social committee in the area I work in and as part of that I help organise social events.
Yes
Because it's a great place to work. I started on front line motor insurance in 2016 and since then I have networked my way into a job that I enjoy in the technology side of the business.
Don't be afraid of applying. You miss all opportunities you don't take :)
