I work as an assistant relationship manager in the charities banking team. Day to day, i reply to emails and go on zoom. More specifically, I deal with banking queries from the bank's charitable customers. This has bene great, because it's helped both my communication and financial skills
I've developed both ym communication skills and my finance skills. Communication, because talking to clients is a large part of my job, and also i have to work closely with my colleagues in the team. Financial skills due to the exposure to the banking world and also loan calculations.
I enjoy it a lot. The people are friendly, the work is interesting and my learning plan is quite comprehensive. Joining during lockdown and working from home has been hard, but the team has been so friendly, and natwest has good procedures in place which has really helped a lot.
Joining during lockdown and working from home has been hard, but the team has been so friendly, and natwest has good procedures in place. But what has really helped is that Natwest has provided a good, structure to enable me to balance work and study, and gain good exposure to the area
I'd say that my employer is very supportive, particularly due to the challenges presented by joining the team remotely, but these challenges have bene overcome Joining during lockdown and working from home has been hard, but the team has been so friendly, and natwest has good procedures in place.
I recieve a lot of support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications. I am able to take the required time out of my work week to complete my studies, and my team is very understanding of the demands on my time which has helped me a lot.
I strongly feel that my qualification, through my training provider, helps me to perform better in my role. They go hand in hand, where my role helps provide me exposure to what i am studying, and that my studies enable me to perform better in my role as i understand it more
Natwest provides many social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events. There are work adjacent activities, such as networking opportunities and skill building lessons. There are also more social events, and groups based round moral ideas, such as gender balance, racial equality and giving back to wider society outside the bank.
Yes
I would recommend Natwest to a friend because it is a good place to work. Friendly people, supportive teams and a good atmosphere. They are supportive towards my apprenticeship and helping me develop my skills in general. Also, the Natwest brand has ideals that align well with my morals outside of work.
If i was giving tips or advice to others applying to NatWest, i would firstly say to read as much as you can on the history of the bank, back in it's RBS days, and how it has changed since. I think it's important to understand what has shaped the company today.
