  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the program so far. The webinars are a great way to learn and are interactive, they have provided a lot of information for me to use first hand in my practice. My assessor Kavita Purshottam has been so helpful with helping me understand my work and giving me help whenever needed.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is very well organised, with a mix of online webinar training to in practice observations. My favourite part of this program was definitely the webinars as i loved studying about all the different topics. I also really enjoyed the first aid training provided by Interserve both online and practical.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I do receive a great amount of support from my employer, although i do find it hard to fit in the Interserve work with work itself and my personal life. My employers have supported me throughout the apprenticeship and helped me with any concerns or issues i have such as with my coursework.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my assessor. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has helped me so much throughout this entire apprenticeship and even throughout lockdown. She has broken down work to help me understand it better and is very understanding when it comes to work and coursework balance. She is always available to message when i am struggling with coursework.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Everything that i have learned during this apprenticeship has given me information and knowledge to put into my everyday practice. Knowledge such as schemas was a great theory to learn about and now in my practice i notice children using schemas throughout the day and are much more aware to them. This is just one example of how i have used information that i have learnt throughout my apprenticeship.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are not any extra-curricular activities at my work at the moment due to Covid 19. We have previously been to the ‘Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles’ event to represent the nursery and do have Christmas activities to do together as a workplace such as dinner. When i am not working i usually spend time with my friends and enjoy going to concerts.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Realise to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Interserve is an amazing apprenticeship programme which allows you to learn knowledge about every topic of your job to put into practice. It has a great balance of online training and coursework. The assessors will help you with as much as you need and provide the best support when needed.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Realise?
  • I would personally make sure that you plan out your workload to get done over the months equally as I didn’t and I ended up with a lot of work to do at the end and struggled to get it completed. Also talk to your assessor when you have an issue or are struggling with a topic and they will help you.
