Highly interesting, varied role with lots of different tasks to complete on a daily basis. This includes conducting due diligence checks, updating client's details, putting together meeting packs, client interaction via phone/email and generating spreadsheets/account valuations. The role also includes ongoing projects and taking part in meetings.
Not only have I been able to accentuate my current skillset, I have accumulated a plethora of new abilities within this role. To highlight some of the main traits, I have built upon my communication skills and developed relationships with a variety of people. I have also learned to adapt to any situation.
The programme is highly enjoyable - as mentioned above, the role is extremely varied and there is the opportunity to try out a variety of activities. In addition to this, the study aspect is extremely interesting and I think this programme is amazing. My team are also great and I enjoy the culture.
The programme is very structure and organized, there is a clear plan set for how I am expected to develop over these 4 years and how my team/workload is catered to ensure I meet this development. There is plenty of support available as everyone at UBS is super friendly and approachable alongside the University.
I receive a great deal of support from UBS - I know that there is always someone available and listening, whether that is my line manger, the HR team, the Apprenticeship team or my mentor. In addition to this, my colleagues are a great support point as are the team at the university.
The university are extremely supportive when it comes to working towards qualifications, my tutor is always available to chat and is very approachable. Clear guidance is always provided to me and I feel very supported. I do thoroughly enjoy the programme and find the content very engaging.
It definitely helps me perform better in my role, coming from a non-financial/business background has not hindered me in any way, shape or form as the training qualification provides lots of insight in a clear concise way. It is very satisfying to be able to translate the theoretical aspect into practicality.
There are a great deal of events to access albeit virtually due to Covid, however, the events available are great and very insightful. There are a wide variety of options available, from volunteering to being able to join company events. Social events are not as frequent but I think that is down to Covid-19.

It is an amazing place filled with talented people who are always there to help and genuinely want to form connections. UBS are a very diverse employer and do the very best to ensure their staff are happy. I truly enjoy my role and the culture available here at the firm.
Personally, I would recommend anyone interested in working at UBS to be their true authentic self - authenticity always shines through. UBS look beyond qualifications and want to hire driven, keen and enthusiastic individuals so to anyone considering an application, make sure to focus on your differentiating personal qualities and traits.
