  • My day to day role consists of working on audit engagements for Financial Service based firms. This includes planning, execution & completion stages of an audit. Often I will be engaged in client discussions.

  • I have learnt a vast range of skills that are useful in the accountancy/finance industry whilst studying towards my ACA as well as from practical work experience. I have improved my communication/presentation skills from communicating with external clients but also colleagues from different backgrounds.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been challenging and very demanding at times - particularly balancing work commitments with study as well as trying to keep a social life.

  • Overall, there is a clear structure to my programme which is well designed. There is good corroboration between my employer and the training provider.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer provides me with study leave to support my apprenticeship. My colleagues have also been very helpful in providing tips and tricks form their past experience.

  • We get provided with paid study leave and college courses to help with studying towards our qualifications.

  • The qualification is very specific to my industry of work and has helped me improve my technical knowledge and in doing so improved the quality of service I provide to my clients,
