My role is to facilitate the learning, coaching and embedding of sales processes and frameworks to colleagues within the business. Once the training has been completed we then work on embedding the behaviours within the team and provide any necessary coaching to ensure the colleague fully understands what is required.
I have learned many new skills, from the start this was a new role, we had a 5 week induction programme where we learned the basics of coaching, body language, match and mirror and so on. Now with the apprenticeship we are learning more about motivational theories as well as the legislation we are required to follow.
I really like the programme, it has opened my eyes to all the other aspects which need to be taken into consideration when coaching. Not just from a legislative point of view or policies and procedures but also how our unconscious bias can have an impact on our sessions which could make the colleagues experience less enjoyable.
This is quite hard to answer, I feel that on the face of it, it is very well structured, however due to the recent pandemic and a lot of things being changed last minute it feels like its a bit chaotic at times which has led me to falling slightly behind
As a whole the business are very supportive. I have been working very closely with learning and development the past few months all of which are on similar schemes and can see the benefit of the apprenticeship. It has been hard to lock down diaries with my actual line manager for reviews
My training facilitator [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always on hand to help me with any questions I may have. I have raised concerns over my functional skills I need to complete and she has offered me additional support in the form of a maths tutor to help get through the course and compete my apprenticeship
I feel that the training provided helps us to think deeper into what impact coaching can have on a colleague. Not just rom a performance point of view but from a psychological point of view. A good well planned session would have a positive impact where as a poorly planned and implemented one would have a negative effect
again this is difficult to answer due to the current restrictions as they are all done virtually now which can limit the personal experience. We do have roadshows with the suppliers and we also used to have conferences where we would all get to meet and socialise. Even regional meetings are now done virtually.
Yes
It is a market leader is what it does. Throughout the pandemic we have truly started to put the customer first which makes me feel proud. Also despite a lot of streamlining the flexibility in being able to work from home has been amazing especially in the current climate and have been really supporting their employees.
be prepared to work hard, but also be prepared to have your ideas listened too. Don't be afraid to question things or processes if you feel they could be done better for our customers or colleagues. They will support you in decisions or requests to upskill your self within the role in order to move on to different roles within the business so keep an open mind
