My role is a Tax Associate working in HRS for Employee solutions. So far day-to-day I assist on either client research or do pieces of work relating to a client project. This can involve using client systems to retrieve information, researching regulation from HMRC, or creating spreadsheets to work out tax liabilities.
Existing skills that have been developed are time management, team work as all work is completed within a team. Communication skills have also been developed as I communicate with senior members of the team on a daily basis.
I am really enjoying my programme, there is a lot of support available and the programme is well structured so I not only know what to expect from the programme but how to work towards achieving the end result.
I feel very valued at PwC. From day one I have been given work and the working environment helps you feel part of the team.
The programme is well structured as all information regarding exam study and sittings has been communicated effectively. The structure of the diploma is also really good as it helps you work through each module.
The support available is great with regular contact.
The support from my employer is also really good as an interest is shown in the programme I am on and also helping me be successful in completing the programme.
The salary/package meets my costs well. It is a reasonable salary for the programme considering a lot of apprenticeships pay a low salary.
Yes
The working environment is great. Theres a really good support system in place and your career is in your own hands to develop and progress as much as you can.
I would advise others to apply to PwC as it offers a great programme. Firstly look on the website for the opportunites available. Research the different areas to see what interests you and where you would like to work and arrange to come in for preview events to really get an insight of what working for PwC is like.
