Project Assistant. My daily tasks include updating project summarys, chairing calls, updating risk logs, writing executive summarys, taking actions and writing outputs. I am responsible for 2 community groups, charity events, a culture group, holiday trackers.
I have learnt how to manage my time effectively and also how to manage people.
I love the team in which i work in, the environement is great and supporting. I never thought Head of Changes and Programme Managers would be so 'normal'. I love my job, i am very busy which i am happy about- I am developing much quicker than i expected, potentially due to the support i recieve.
I feel very valued. My task manager is constantly thanking me and giving me feedback. I have taken on many tasks and responsibilities, therefore feel trusted at work. I was recognised by 2 Head of Changes and my Director for helping out at the whole team away day- which made me feel extremeley valued.
I believe that by apprenticeship run by the external providers is unorganised and unstructured. I believe i am not learning anything from the Webinars the host. However the support i recieve from my managers and colleagues in the office is great, they help me out with apprenticeship work if needed. I do find it hard to get time to study as i have taken on so many task, however i am learning to manage things better and blocking time out in my diary so knowbody else can book anything in.
I feel that my assessors and trainers are great- however the program they run is unorganised and things are structured how they are to save costs and not to support us fully.
My task and line manager are fully supportive of my apprenticeship. They 100% understand i need time away from work to complete apprenticeship work and it is not difficult to ask them for more help or time.
Good.
There are lots of opportunities set up at work eg away days, social night out etc which are great. Work fully support my sporting commitments. I throw the hammer at national level.
Yes
There are 100 reasons why I would recommend someone should do an LBG apprenticeship, but the best reason is.. that the Business knowledge you attain as a newly established apprentice within a working environment is invaluable, making this specific to LBG, the support in which you receive really builds and develops your strengths, capabilities and skill-set, which maximises your potential to succeed.
Always have the customer at the fore-front of your mind. Relax- its only an interview- they can only say no. Be yourself, listen to others before speaking yourself. There's nothing worse than showing off on the first day you meet potential colleagues/ managers. Once successful i would say to soak it all up, make notes, and network as much as possible.
