  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Seeing in and out the children, nappies, food, safeguarding, cleaning, playing, Day to day looking after children aged 6 months to 4 years.. sometimes I also cover afterschool club 3-6 on my days off and that’s ages 5-11. This involves snacks, safeguarding looking after and seeing the children out to parents

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I’ve learnt information such as learning the EYFS and the children’s needs and wants as well as learning about the GDPR with personal information, and safeguarding. With Covid 19 I’ve learnt how to keep on top with the cleaning daily. People skills within seeing in and out children to their parents

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship so much! It’s a lovely team at my nursery and my assessor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has taught me so much to help me finish and complete and learnt within my work

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I’m supported not only from my manager but also my room leader and co-workers. Especially those who have done the course previously as they offer there advice and words when I’m stuck and say that I’m not to be scared to ask when stuck on something especially when I don’t understand something within my work

  • They support me where ever possible and is needed

  • 9a. Would you recommend Aspirations to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because aspirations is a brilliant company to help anyone with their childcare apprenticeships. The team have worked really well, I not only have my assessor but I also have a support assistant who carried on helping me even after my passing my maths functional skills. Anyone who chooses anywhere else is stupid?
