I am studying towards being a data analyst, in a forensics technology team. I work with spreadsheets manipulating and usuing formulas to manipulate data. I sudy towards my degree completing various modules to build my knowledge.
Yes I have learnt all new skills, the knowledge learnt in from the uni work is usually built on a work. I also try to get involved in various training inhouse in order to further develop and learn my skills.
I enjoy the programme, I like my team and i enjoy the work they do. I the field there are so many different avenues and ways to specalise, there is always something to learn which I love.
WAs organsied very well, since the lockdown and working from home there a various virtual ways to stay connected but i like the fact once you join your team your treated more like an actual team member.
We have performance managers, but managment are always available if needed and you can put in time with anyone and they will help you.
All the support you need, If you ask you receive, from extra time if you need it, for example i went through various personal things and suffer from depression and I was able to get the extra time and support i needed whilst studying.
Some of the modules are not always relevant to your actaul role but the background knowledge can be always used. And sometime it can just come up when a colleague is investigating and your knowledge helps supports finding a solution. I haven't fully completed but I wouldn't say i know more about my role based on the qualification, it s more the hands on work and working with senior colleagues.
