It involves me learning of the fitters on how to complete tasks on the wing. Then I have a go at the supervision on my fitters. These tasks vary from drilling to bolting to riveting.
Yes I have learn lots of new skills and developed skills I already had. Not only hand skills such as using drills but also my communication skills etc.
I am really enjoying my program and look forward to continuing with it.
The program has been really well structured concidering the challenges that Airbus have had throughout the Covid pandemic.
We receive good support from all managers whether this is our ECM or are PM. They are always willing to help.
My training provider always supports me. Whether this is just checking up on me or giving me support when I am struggling.
Without the qualification I wouldn't have all the skills that are required to carry out the jobs necessary.
In normal times Airbus have lots of activities that you could carry out. However, due to the Covid pandemic these have been limited.
Yes
It's a really good place to work. You get lots of support. The workforce are friendly and normally willing to help. And as I've been told hundreds of times it's a job for life!
Don't hesitate. Just be yourself. And finally, get the work done. Don't leave it till last minute like lots of people do.
