I am a Banking Consultant within a branch. This entails opening and managing customers accounts on a daily basis. I am able to give advice on certain products but most services are informed choice. I help to mentor and coach members of the team and regularly lead the team fire up in the morning.
During the Apprenticeship it has helped me to gain a lot of confidence in, what was, a new role. It helped to gain knowledge into banking and and also helped with relationships with other members of the team. I gained my RBCB as part of my qualification and this gave a lot of insight into further banking areas.
I really enjoyed completing the programme, there were parts that were more out of my comfort zone than others, such as initially being observed on such a regular basis.
The time and commitment that was given by the Lloyds Banking Group into me completing this has made me feel really valued as an employee. As it has improved my confidence I feel that I give a much better service to my customers which has been recognised.
The programme was very well structured. My Assessor was always on time to meetings and never let me down.
I recieved a lot of support through Learn Direct the assessor was always available if I was having a problem with anything and he always explained things really well.
I was given the time to complete my sessions with my assessor. I was also able to complete tasks such as lead the branch huddle so this could be observed.
The costs for the Apprenticeship were all met by Lloyds Banking Group
