I support children and young people with their education, I mainly work with young people with Special Educational Needs. I support them emotionally, academically and socially. I attend lessons and deliver interventions
I have developed my confidence, and social skills. I have learnt new skills such as dealing with challenging behaviour and dealing with confrontation
I really enjoyed the program I was on. I found it very engaging and I was able to take a lot from the workshops that were available.
My program was very organised and structured. There were set time limits to get the work completed for each different pathway, and these were clear to me so that I knew them and was aware
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They are very supportive of me and my different medical needs and are very accommodative to them
Again, I received a lot of support from my training provider whilst I was working towards my qualification. Like my employer they were very accommodative of my needs. They were always there when I needed support with something
I feel that my qualification helps me to perform better in my role as I have learnt many different strategies to be applied in different situations
We have the opportunity to use the school fitness suite and as a SEN department we organise nights out having a meal to celebrate different occasions
Yes
They are very accommodating and there are lots of opportunities for CPD
I would tell them that the employer are very supportive and there are many opportunities to develop as an individual both professionally and personally
