On a day to day basis I assist in managing the mechanical, electrical and public health packages on site. Dealing with the sub-contractors is a major part of my role as well as understand any issues that there may be on the design side when installing any of the services and how to overcome them.
I have learnt and developed my skill sets over the past 3 years during my apprenticeship. I have become more confident in raising issues which could have big impacts further down the line. My communication skills have also been developed as I am constantly liaising with different people on a day to day basis.
The programme has been great and generally a very enjoyable experience. We have lots of internal training and socials (pre COVID). The work teams are great and you get to meet new people every time you change projects. Mace company culture is great as we have technical champions within the industry and I can reach out to them comfortably if there is something I don't understand.
