  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily tasks vary - no day is the same! I am given the opportunity to work on new things, which allows me to build my skills from the foundation upwards, and venture into new areas. I find myself speaking to a wide range of colleagues internally within the organisation, on a daily basis, and these work relationships grow over time, through frequent interactions and knowledge sharing. The same applies for daily interactions with external colleagues - I have found my network has grown enormously since first joining the organisation! Over time, my responsibilities have significantly increased as I become more comfortable, and my skills become more refined through experiences. Project work is exciting as I can see the impact which my work has, and how this feeds into the overall scope of the project.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Initially when I first began my studies on the programme, I felt highly anxious. I shared my worries with my organisation's internal support system, and they were incredibly supportive! They place high value on the individual, and their mental health. Training is also offered to us if we require more help with our studies, to help us improve.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Overall, my support system network at my organisation is incredible. I am reminded on a frequent basis by my mangers and mentors, to reach out if I ever have any worries. I feel like I can always talk to someone comfortably within the organisation, as I have such a variety of sources to speak to. They are always happy to discuss any problems I may have, e.g. if I am feeling anxious about university.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider offers workshops if I wish to improve on some of my skills, such as my mathematical skills, to help with my module content. The different sources of support can be accessed through different means, e.g. the training provider's website, phone number etc. If I was struggling with my studies, I know I could reach out to them and receive support. Working towards my qualification is rewarding, because I am getting closer to achieving it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification goes well with my role within the organisation, as it helps me to transform my logical thinking, and see different business perspectives. I believe the content I am learning for my qualification helps me with my day-to-day role, as it helps me understand different areas, such as technical components and skills. This allows me to increase the scope of my knowledge.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many extra-curricular activities which I can get involved in, at my organisation. There are frequently company events, social events and voluntary initiatives. The social team events are fun, as it provides an opportunity for us to strengthen our work relationships. The voluntary initiatives are a great way to contribute towards the organsation, and give back.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Since joining Capgemini, I have transformed as individual. I have been able to achieve things I did not think I could. This is all because of the opportunities provided to me, by the programme and organisation. I am always looking forward to the next thing, as I know all these experiences help me to grow, within my job role.
