  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Contacting lecturers and TTO’s is simple. They often respond instantaneously and always point you in the right direction. Especially with having virtual sessions, they do everything they can to ensure that apprentices have all of the necessary resources and documents required to complete tasks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can talk to the fitter that I work with using jargon which makes me feel more confident as I am more aware of the tooling, fasteners etc. It also makes everything that we have learnt much more clear as the product is right in front of you.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Airbus to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is the best company that I have worked for! The apprenticeship is hands on from the start and everyone there encourages each other - everyone is so kind and welcoming. It’s proof that working can actually be fun!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Airbus?
  • Take your time during the college training and take everything in. Always push yourself to do better than what you think you could because you’ll find that you probably can - I struggled to believe in myself and my skills but once I did, I improved even more.
