Inspect and maintain the plant as well as fabricating new parts in the workshop and fitting them
I have learn to weld as well as using gas. I have also been trained on a tele handler so I can drive one on site.
When I first started it took a while for them to figure out what they wanted me to do so it was a lot of sitting around finding things to do but now it is a lot better
Organisation is good depending on who your manager is. When I started there was little structure but now I have a new manager and it feels like I’m actually getting somewhere
Day to day I get support whenever I need it.
The support from the training provider varies but this is mostly due to limitations from covid 19
The qualification covers a wider range than what I do at work do it gives me more options in the future.

The company is good to work for and the people are helpful too. Each day is different to the last.
Make sure it is definitely what you want to do because otherwise you won’t enjoy it
