  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt more about how to use Power BI. I have also learnt about database structure and will shortly be doing a week long classroom session about Python that i'm looking forward to. I'm hoping by the end of the course i will have developed several skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my programme alhough there is more paperwork and involvement from my manager than i expected. I particularly enjoy the classroom sessions as it gives us an opportunity to practise new skills with guidance. I like doing the practical exercises and the opportunity to ask questions as we go through.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel like the programme is fairly well structured - the only thing i would suggest is at the end of the classroom sessions just a bit of an overview of what to do for the submission and a bit more guidance on that. Perhaps maybe dedicate the last half day to go through a brief plan with students.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the start of the course has built a strong foundation to enable me to perform my job better. The current module i'm working on is Python which will be a new skill for me - so i'm excited to learn more about this and how i might be able to uitilise this in my current role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • It's difficult at the moment due to the pandemic so would be hard to make a judgement. I'm sure usually there are some extra-curricular activities i could get involved in. We have just done an online escape room as a team which was really enjoyable but i don't feel like i can make a fair assessment at the moment.

  • 9a. Would you recommend E.ON to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I think they support personal development if you are interesting in developing. I feel my manager and the company cares about the physical and mental well-being of their staff and tries to offer adequate support. They have been particularly supportive throughout the pandemic and have been open to flexible working.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • I would say to be confident, be yourself and make sure you show your potential in the recruitment process. Have some examples prepared where you can talk about the skills you have and how you've used these. Make sure you've read the job spec so you know what's required of the role.
