As an apprentice engineer I work on both mechanical and electrical jobs with my mentor and on my own. I am at college 1 to 2 times a week working on my qualification and the rest of the week I am gaining practical experience on site.
I have developed and improved my mechanical and electrical practical skills.
I really enjoy my programme, I am learning a lot and gaining a great qualification.
The programme is very well organised with a great theory and practical balance.
My employer provides great support. My line manager and myself have regular catch ups to discuss my progress.
My training provider provides a great amount of support. I have a catch up with my training provider and manager every few months.
My qualification helps me perform better in my role because I am learning things about my job all the time and putting my theoretical knowledge into practice.
There are plenty of extra activities to get involved in through work including open days.
