I am now working in a state school as a teacher. I work with the preschool and Foundation Phase children daily planning lessons, teaching the children and overall pastoral care. No day is the same but usually we make sure to include some literacy work, exploring the world we live in through play and Welsh language learning. Wherever possible we also use iPads and laptops with the children too.
Thanks to Aspiration Training I am now Level 5 qualified so can spend time in the management of preschools if I work in them. It has made it easier for me when it comes to planning schemes of work for the term ahead. I have also spent time improving my Welsh language skills.
Aspiration Training made my learning an amazing experience. The tutor I had was lovely and always on hand to help me with any questions or just for positive coaching and pushing me on to do my best. Even the people I emailed and dealt with for the admin side of things was friendly and helpful.
The programme was arranged brilliantly. I knew at every stage what I had to be done, what I had completed and what I was working towards. I also always had the resources I needed in advance and my mentor arranged our meetings well in advance so I could plan ahead and around any other work commitments.
My employer was very kind and gave me lots of time to complete my training programme. I was given time to plan things that I would need to evidence and they were happy for me to have mentor meetings whilst I was at work. They did as much as they could, even though it was a small company.
I found Aspiration Training an amazing provider. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone I spoke to always acknowledge me as a person and took ownership of whatever they were dealing with. It was apparent from the start that they wanted me to succeed and would support me through anything.
In my role working in the Foundation Phase my qualification has really helped me. It has given me much more confidence in my role and how I interact with my other colleagues and people I talk with/to in other similar companies. It is also great to have the qualification as in the future I will be able to use it if I want to change direction of my career.
At the moment due to Covid-19 restrictions there are no extra-curricular activities I can do. However I still try and do CPD online where possible and my employer is supportive of this. I am planning on running extra curricular activities for my children as soon as I can, my qualification has helped me so I am ready for this!
Yes
I think if anyone wants to get a qualification from a quality provider who will support you every step of the way I would thoroughly recommend Aspiration Training. From the moment I contacted them it was made very clear that they wanted to give me 100% of their time and support. Everyone was helpful and friendly and wanted me to succeed so would bend over backwards!
Just go for it, you won’t ever feel alone or like you can’t do it. Even if you are having a wobble day over an assignment or being assessed they will do everything to make you feel better. They will make sure that you are prepared for the course but also that during the course what you are learning will actually benefit your life/career.
