Static community carer On a call basis assisting with personal care to making a drink and something to eat. Also domestic duties, having chats with the residents answering a call system if the residents need anything we also do their shopping calls, administrator of medication, write daily reports on how there day has been .
Since being with Hafod I have learned so much from kitchen skills to administer medication. Also always on going learning we do online learning and face to face learning this is called e-learning from doing manual handling training to learning about policies and first aid training these are re done every so often.
I have learned so much even things I didn't know, from the different legislations , policies and procedures, meeting or seeing new people via zoom training and the assessor has been really helpful there if you have any questions or concerns regarding the work that has been set and descused
The program is very well organized and set out and very in-depth knowledge, you do group descussions and play a kahoot game to test what we have learned and it's fun , we also done recaps on previous sessions to remind ourselves what we have learned so far .it is good
My employer is very supportive allowed me to do my course just waiting to do my final exam as with covid Hafod are being coursious about allowing staff to sit there exam so for now there not allowing us to do so . Have still got a bit of work on my course to do
Alot of support from being able to book 1to1 or a phone call , and you get feedback on work you submit and it's great encouragement.
It gives a better understanding of your roll over all
